Hampton University graduate, Eliot Stiles self-published his first book, Basketball Hero, last week on Amazon.com to promising reviews. Eliot Stiles is a 2002 graduate of the Political Science Department and a fourth generation Hamptonian. His book, Basketball Hero is a motivational guide to the game of basketball focusing on a champion mindset and character development.
Atlanta, Georgia, March 25, 2012 -- Basketball Hero, The Pursuit of Character and Champions looks to inspire a new generation of basketball hopefuls. Two years ago, Stiles wrote a book about basketball to inspire is younger brother Jordan, a high school junior with aspirations of playing college basketball. Stiles gave the book to his brother to reinforce lessons of hard work, good nutrition and leadership. Jordan is now a freshman attending Miles College on a basketball scholarship.
The original book, “Basketball Diary” was released by Stiles last week on Amazon.com under the title, “Basketball Hero”. Basketball Hero is just as much a journal as it is a guide. It is designed to make young ball players focus on the game and their development critically. The book is unique in that it focuses on one principal of basketball per page and is designed to capture and keep the attention of young women and men.
